Wade Brian Short, age 46, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Freeman Hospital.
Wade was born on December 29, 1970 in Joplin to the late Scott Short and Vicki Arft Short. He graduated from Grove High School in 1989 and later became a licensed electrician with Bill's Electric, Inc. before later joining the I.B.E.W. Local 95.
On June 15, 1996, Wade married Missy Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Missy; a son, Briar Short of the home; siblings, Lance Short and wife, Belinda of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Cole Short of Joplin, Kip Short, also of Broken Arrow; grandmother, Maxine Short of Joplin; in-laws, Leroy and Kay Jordan of Oronogo, Missouri; 2 nephews, 3 nieces; sister in law, Jayme Shanks and husband, Jeff of Webb City; several extended family and friends.
Other than his parents, Wade is preceded in death by a grandmother, Rudene Arft and a grandfather, Raymond Short.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Christ Church of Oronogo, Student East Building, Oronogo, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Peterson Outdoor Ministries in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
