Terrel Edward Lee Cobb Goforth, age 35, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home.
Terrel was born April 22, 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri, and in 1997 he moved to Pittsburg, Kansas where he graduated high school before attending Crowder College in Joplin, Missouri. Until the age of 16, Terrel was known by "Duke" until moving to Pittsburg where he was lovingly known by "Jitt". He held several jobs in the St. Louis and Joplin area, and was currently taking care of his children. He was a devoted father, and loved St. Louis, Nelly, and the Cardinals. His hobbies included music, muscle cars and aggravating his mother every chance he got. He would light up the room with his presence, and was great with the children. He will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include his mother, Audrey Goforth of Joplin; father, George Goforth of St. Louis; children, Keagan Shannon-Cobb, Kalean Shannon-Cobb, Kiera Dawn Shannon-Cobb all of Pittsburg, Kansas, Jorian "JoJo" Cobb, Darriyon "DaDa" Cobb, and Zayla Audrey Cobb all of Joplin; step-son, Brylan Patton of Joplin; brother, Jason Goforth of St. Louis; sisters, Laquita Cobb of Carthage, Eustacia Cobb of Houston, Texas, and his special sister, Tymeeka Jones of Pittsburg, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Trent, Faith, and Trenisha; and his fiance, Kendria Weathers.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 12:00, Noon in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Samuel Nero, Jr. officiating, and a special poem by his sister, Tymeeka. Repass will immediately follow at Landreth Park in Joplin.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Parker Mortuary to help cover final expenses.
