William "Bill" Reeves, 74, of Columbus, KS, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Medicalodges in Columbus following a long illness.
He was born October 23, 1942 in Columbus to Francis and Maxine (Goodwin) Reeves. He attended and graduated from Columbus High School.
Bill owned and operated Columbus Auto Salvage and Antique Acres for many years. He spent most of his life in Columbus, always loyal to his hometown. He enjoyed traveling to go deep sea fishing in Texas.
Survivors include his children; Bill Reeves and wife Heide of Joplin, MO.,James Reeves and wife Amber of Columbus, and daughter, Tamela Doom, Mountain Grove, MO. , Bill's sisters Susan Beggs and husband Jerry, Claremore OK., and Janet Draeger and husband Rick also of Columbus. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Maxine Reeves; brother, Tom Reeves and son, Mark Pennington Reeves.
Services will be 11 am, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the House of Prayer in Riverton, KS. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 6 pm at Bath Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS.
In lieu of flowers, contribution may be left to: Columbus Recreation Committee, to fund Reeves Park.
