Nola Victoria Russow, age 85, lifelong resident of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her home with family at her side.
Nola was born December 25, 1932 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, daughter of the late Joseph Moore and Mayola Smith Moore. She attended Joplin Schools, and worked in food service all her adult life, she retired from the 7th Street Wal-Mart Deli in 2012. She was a very loving, caring person who had a positive effect on all she met. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Davenport in 1976, and then her second husband, Bob Russow, in 1983. She was also preceded in death by four of her children, James Earl, Debra Diane Osborne, Kerry William, and Donald Frederick; a grandson, Shane, and four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Davenport of Joplin, daughters, Shelley Favors and husband Michael of Joplin, and Margaret Greninger and husband James of Quapaw, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating, and family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association.
