Rolita Cook, 61 years, of Powell, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Rolita was born on December 3, 1956 in Stafford, Kansas, daughter of the late Edwin and Maxine (Strickland) Burr. She married Bud Cook on December 23, 1993. Rolita enjoyed cooking, flowers and was a floral designer for several years. She worked as a product analyst for Wal-Mart. Her passion was traveling, making it to 49 states. Rolita was a faithful member of the Agape Church in Pineville, Missouri.
Rolita is survived by her husband, Bud Cook of the home; a son, Paul Cook and wife, Caitlin of Anderson, Missouri; step-son, David Cummings and wife, Jean of Virginia Beach, Virginia; five sisters, Teresa Booth and husband, Hillary of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Tammy McKenna and husband, Conrad of Rogers, Arkansas, Rebecca Sainsbury and husband, Tom of Weleetka, Oklahoma, Delana Halstead of Wichita, Kansas, Janet K. Scott of Shelley, Idaho; two grandchildren, Tyler Hasty and Scott Cummings; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends who will severely miss her.
Funeral Service for Rolita will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Grace Life Church in Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Jedidiah Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
