Sharon K. Baetke Yokley, age 67, of Liberal, MO, passed away Friday June 8 at Gran Villas in Pittsburg, KS.
Sharon was born November 4th, 1950 to Thomas Arthur and Edith Lorraine (Clark) Baetke in Lamar, MO. She grew up in Liberal, MO and graduated from Liberal High School with the class of 1968. She continued her education in the field of cosmetology. She was a beautician and also worked for a while at the state hospital in Nevada as an aide. She was most proud of her career as an over the road truck driver.
She married Gary Yokley December 8, 1984. Gary passed away February 24th, 2011. Sharon is survived by a son, Kevin Cambers and his wife Jeannie of Neosho, MO and one daughter, Kendra Zafuta and husband Karl of Frontenac, KS. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Kortney and Bryce Cambers and Ryan, Nick and Karlie Zafuta, one great grandson, Jett Zafuta and her sister Mila Swearingen and husband Larry of Cross Timbers, MO. and her 2 constant companions Precious and Buddy. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Gary and her brother Herbert Baetke.
There will be a graveside service 10 A.M. Wednesday June 13th at the Liberal City Cemetery. Mike Perry will officiate.
