Mrs. Karen Sue Ruddick, 67, of Centerton, Arkansas, formerly of Tiff City, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Karen entered this life on November 24, 1950, in Galena, Kansas, daughter of the late Jesse and Essie Bernice (Horne) Miller. Her formative years were spent in Galena, Smithville, Missouri and Noel, Missouri. On October 20, 1969, she was united in marriage to James Ruddick and to this union two daughters were born. They were longtime residents of Tiff City, Missouri. Karen was a Registered Physical Therapist Assistant and was employed by Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma, for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and on-line video games. She attended Patterson Heights Baptist Church as well as Victory Road Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-five years, James Ruddick on October 20, 1969; a sister, Claudette Jones; and two brothers, Louis and Melvin Miller.
Karen is survived by her two daughters, Jeannie Casey and husband, Darren, of Centerton, Arkansas and Melissa Chatham and husband, Jerry, of Rogers, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Alex, Kevin and Amber; a great granddaughter, Elliot; two sisters, Sherrie Smith of Joplin, Missouri and Doris Lawson also of Joplin; a brother, Mike Miller of Maysville, Arkansas; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruddick are 10:000 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Kevin Kissire, Alex Chatham, Jerry Chatham, Darren Casey, Tommy Kissire and Mike Miller.
