Kenneth Leon May, 79, of Noel, MO., went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2018, at Joplin Freeman Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends.
He entered his life October 2, 1938 in Jay, Oklahoma. Born to the late Francis J. and Willie Opal (Lowry) May. He married Nancy Joleen Hillman on July 10, 1998, in Salina, KS. He retired from Boeing after 26 years, working in Materials Department. He always had a love for camping and canoeing, upon retirement he moved to Noel, MO., by the river that he loved so much. He passed his love for camping and canoeing on to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Joey D. May; and his sisters, Baby Ruth and Eunice Yvonne Hutchinson; granddaughter Erica L. (Boucher) Smith; great-grandson, Jordan A. Davis.
Leon is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy J. (Hillman) May; his daughters: Linda Leann Boucher; Kelly Jo (Charles) Shelton; Rebecca Kay (Paul) Cryderman; Donna Lynn (George) May-Murray; Janelle (Rich) Carlton and a son, Richard L. May; 16 grandchildren, Beven Boucher; Cassie (Brian) Geist; Jasmyn Joles; Michael Kelly; Justin (Stephanie) Cryderman; Ryan Cryderman; Briana (Todd) Gallegos; Ashley (Justin) Cullinane; Christopher Murray; Teah Carlton; Richard (Tripp) Carlton; Tucker Carlton; Brandy May; Leslie May; Ian May, Mya Opal May. 17 great-grandchildren, Taylor Boucher; Logan Smith, Eric Boucher; Dominic Boucher; Allison Collins; Jaren Joles; Addyson Kelly; Kylie Stueven; Austin Cryderman; Braden Cryderman; Lane Duncan; Rylie Cryderman; William Cryderman; McKinley Gallegos; Brooklynn Cullinane; Jordyn Cullinane; and Ryan Cullinane.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 427 New Life Lane, Anderson, MO., 64831
