Betty R. “Thompson” Graham, 87, passed away June 13, 2018. Betty was born September 17, 1930 in Bristow, OK to Rev. Russell and Ethel “Burger” Thompson.
Betty was a lifetime resident of Carthage. She was born into a pastor’s family and on March 15, 1947 she married Rev. Howard Ralph (H.R.) Graham in Long Beach, CA; he preceded her in death November 27, 1994. Betty was involved in the church ministry to the Carthage Area all of her life.
Betty is survived by two sons, Larry Graham and wife Donna of Webb City and Stanley Graham and wife Donna of Denison, TX; three grandchildren, Larry Paul Graham and wife Kimberly of Fayetteville, NC, Andrea Dawn Gaither and husband James of Joplin, MO, Brandon Paul Graham and wife Amy of North Richland Hills, TX; ten great grandchildren, Alexis, Faith, Taylor, Aiden, Carter, Isaiah, Kaelyn, Jace, Jackson and Scarlett; one sister, Stella McDaniel and husband Wayne of Carthage.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother James Thompson and sister Mary Whittaker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Grace Pointe Assembly of God on Baker Ave. in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Grace Pointe.
