Mary (Dieterich) Rolleg passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Morningside Senior Living in Springfield, MO. after a brief illness.
Mary was born January 5, 1922 in Monett, MO. to Joseph and Louise Dieterich. She was a dance instructor beginning at the age of 13 with her sister Josie. She married Harold E. Rolleg on February 13, 1947, he preceded her in death in 2016. Mary’s life is an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved her Lord, her family and the St. Louis Cardinals and was kind and thoughtful to all who crossed her path. She also enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and visiting the casinos.
Mary is survived by her son and two daughters and their spouses: Marty and Barbara Rolleg of Spring Branch, TX; Marcia and Robert Holme of Colorado Springs, CO and Marla and Richard Hufford of Springfield, MO. She also leaves 7 grandchildren: Shelley Rolleg Eastland and husband Mike of Katy, TX; Sheryl Rolleg Lyons and husband Victor of Houston, TX; Cheryl Stephens and Rob Eggleston of Colorado Springs, CO; Lt Col. Don Rolleg of St. Louis, MO; Zachery Holme of Colorado Springs, CO; Lisl Hufford and Erich Hufford both of Springfield, MO; and 8 great grandchildren. Mary has 2 surviving sisters, Dorothy Horine of Springfield and Joann Combes of Houston, TX and sister-in-law Helen Rolleg of Joplin as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12th at Ozark Memorial Park , with Father J. Friedel officiating . The family will receive friends Monday, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and may be left in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin.
