Sue Mailes, 67, Neosho, passed away on June 19, 2018 in Joplin, MO.
She was born June 10, 1951 in Neosho, MO to Leonard and Billie (Holcomb) Leader. Sue was a retired teacher in the Neosho School system. She was a member of the Seneca Christian Church and the Seneca Willing Workers. Sue and Olan Mailes were married Aug. 6, 1971 in Seneca, MO; he survives of the home. Additional surviving family members include two sons, Michael Mailes and his wife, Amy of Lee Summit and Brandon Mailes and his wife, Tish of Joplin; three grandchildren, Connor Mailes, Maddie Mailes and Mazie Mailes; and one sister, Jeannie Duensing of Broken Arrow, OK. She was preceded in death by one son, Brent Robert Mailes; her parents, Leonard and Billie Leader; and her grandparents, Virgil and Georgia Holcomb.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 22, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with Rev. Kim Mailes officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery, Neosho. Nephews will honor Sue by serving as pallbearers.
The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday from 6 until 7 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
