Norwood Earl Hobbs, 70 years, of Goodman, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Earl was born on February 16, 1948 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, son of the late Robert and Virginia (Hansley) Hobbs. He married Karen Burleson on May 25, 1984 at Pineville, Missouri. He was a very hard worker and worked for 44 years as a supervisor at Tyson Foods in Noel, Missouri. He loved watching his grandchildren play and cherished time spent with them. Earl enjoyed playing slot machines and was a Carolina Panthers Fan; his favorite holiday was the Fourth of July and spending it with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lena Gilbert, Marie Carter and Mary Hobbs; two brothers, Ray Hobbs and Tony Hobbs.
Earl is survived by his wife, Karen Hobbs of the home; a son, Mike Hobbs of Neosho, Missouri; two daughters, Carrie Martin and husband, Tyler, Ila "JoJo" Tanguay and husband, Charles all of Neosho, Missouri; two brothers, Henry Hobbs and wife, Janie of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Alton Hobbs of Richland, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Hannah Martin, Trenton Martin, Angel Tanguay and Lily Tanguay; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Earl.
Funeral Service for Earl will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Holloway will officiate. Burial will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
