Gary Troy Watson, age 72, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home after a long illness.
He was born August 30, 1945 in Oklahoma, the son of Lloyd Nelson and Herma C. (Phillips) Watson. On October 2, 1970 he was united in marriage to Shirley Dene Vaughn and to this union two sons were born. Surviving are his sons, Matthew Watson and Kristi of Longview, Missouri and Nelson Watson and Krysti of Goodman, Missouri; two granddaughters, Molly and Amberly Watson and one brother, Brice Watson of Derby, Kansas.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Johnnie and Bill Watson.
Gary received his education in Pea Ridge, Arkansas where he graduated from high school. Most of his life was spent as a cattle and chicken farmer. Some of his favorite pastimes were spending time and fishing with his sons and dancing.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
