Alissa Camille Brock, age 48, Webb City, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Freeman West in Joplin after a sudden illness.
Alissa was born September 24, 1969 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, graduated from Webb City High School, and then earned her Bachelor's in Science and Nursing (BSN) at Missouri Southern State University. She worked for the last 15 years at Freeman West of Joplin. She worked at the Kitchen Pass for many years, while also going through college and was always part of the KP family. She was known as a very compassionate, patient, and kind person, and loved everyone unconditionally. She was a good listener, and impacted many lives over the years. Every person she spoke with was touched in a way no one else was able to, and she had many lifelong friends who cherished her. Her legacy, and loving spirit will live on in her family, and friends that she touched over the years.
Alissa leaves us to join her son, Alex Brock, and granddaughter, Emma Ross who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Scott Brock; son, Ryan Brock; daughter, Sydney Ross and husband Brandon all of Webb City; parents, Don and Pat Mosbaugh of Joplin; sister, Angie Hughes and husband Shane of Carthage; brother-in-law Mike Brock and wife Liz of Galena, Kansas, nieces, Kylie Mueller, Lauren Jarvis, and Courtney Jones; nephews, William Hughes, Canon Hughes and Aidan Hughes; many other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Alissa on Saturday, June 23, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Wilder's Ballroom, (formerly K.P. Bypass and Patio) in Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
