Beverly Miller

(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)

Beverly Jean (Weathermon) Miller was born April 7, 1931 in Visalia, California to George Francis Weathermon and Mary Lucille (Mansfield) Weathermon. She passed away peacefully on March 13, 2020 in Lehi, Utah.

She spent her early life in California and met and married Herbert “Herb” Ben Miller, Jr. on September 14, 1953 in Carthage, Missouri. They lived in Missouri for a short time, before returning to California to raise their family. They returned to Missouri in 1968 and lived in Carthage and Alba.

Beverly retired in 1994 and she and Herb enjoyed spending time together and fished frequently on Stockton Lake and became known in Alba for throwing community fish fry's several times a year. After Herb passed away, she lived with her son Gary, and daughter-in-law, first in Roswell, New Mexico and later in American Fork, Utah.

While living in Roswell she became the honorary grandmother to her son’s boy scout troop, spending many hours sewing on patches and merit badges on shirts and sashes. She loved to embroider and made over 50 baby quilts for grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren. She was a hard worker first working in the fields and groves of California and later on food production lines. She is remembered by many for her sweet spirit and infectious laugh. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Ben Miller, Jr.; a brother, Kenneth Lee Weathermon, who died at birth; a sister, Cheryl Ann Weathermon Dotter; and a granddaughter, Karen Beth Miller.

She is survived by sons, Daniel Francis Miller (Toum) of Fort Worth, Texas and Gary Lee Miller (Michal) of American Fork, Utah; Lynetta Sue (Miller) Clifton (Glen) of Alba, Missouri; and sister, Judith Eileen (Weathermon) Beach (Ray) of Coarsegold, California;
two nephews; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Benjamin Miller, Craig Davis, Nyle Davis, Glen Clifton, Gary Miller, Daniel Miller and Austin Black.

Internment will be in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery, Dadeville, Missouri, at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, next to her husband.

We would like to thank the staff of Beehive Homes in Lehi, Utah, and Elevations Hospice in American Fork, Utah, for their loving care in her final years.
