Ira Everett Boice, Jr., 83, Neosho, MO, entered into rest March 21, 2020 after several months of failing health.
Everett was born September 7, 1936 in Cape Girardeau, MO, one of three sons, to Ira Everett Boice, Sr. and Jessie (Mattocks) Boice. His brothers, Carl Boice, and Lynn Boice, and Lynn’s wife, Maxine are deceased. Everett worked as a retail sales parts manager for automotive dealerships.
Everett and Marilyn Gardner were married June 4, 1958 in Kahoka, MO. The family moved from Kahoka to Kimberling City, MO in 1981, then to Neosho in 1999. Everett was a member of Peaksville Christian Church in Kahoka and attended First Baptist Church in Neosho. He loved to golf, enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, loved to cross stitch, and for many years, was a member of the McLiars Coffee Club at McDonald’s.
Everett is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three children, Jasen (Jay) Everett Boice and wife, Jearan of Neosho, Tracy Boice Davenport and husband, Greg of Centralia, MO, and Bradford (Brad) Lee Boice and wife, Tyra of Galena, MO; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Per his wishes, Everett has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 10 am, July 30, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO. Innichement will take place at 3:00 pm, July 30 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peaksville Christian Church or Neosho First Baptist Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
