Mr. James E. “Jim” Damm, 72, of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Spring River Christian Village following an illness.
Jim was born April 27, 1947, in Sullivan, Missouri, to the union of the late Russell and Osa Damm. Jim made a successful career with Southwest Missouri Bank, having worked his way up to a Senior Vice President, and all on a high school education. He was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Joplin and used to enjoy golfing in his earlier years. Jim was of the Catholic faith.
On October 12, 1991, Jim was united in marriage to Cassandra Hudson in Joplin, Missouri, and together they have shared the last 28 years.
Additional survivors include three children, Shawn Damm and wife, Kelly, of Overland Park, Kansas, Staci Damm-Delozier and husband, Jamie, of Webb City, Missouri, and Ty Korns of Ozark, Missouri; six grandsons, Matthew, Jack, Keanu, Zach, Alec and Wade; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
