Bryant Culp

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Bryant Quinn Culp, 24, of Panama City Beach, Florida died March 12, 2020 in Panama City Beach when a car made a left hand turn into the path of his motorcycle.

Bryant was born May 6, 1995 in Columbus, Mississippi where his family was stationed with the Air Force at the time. Bryan is the son of James Henry and Sherri Culp.

He grew up as a military child, living in Columbus and Tacoma, Washington, before moving to Wichita, Kansas in 1999. Bryant attended K-5th grades at Sunrise Christian Academy (Wichita), 6th-8th grades at Andover Middle School and 9th-12th grades at Andover High School.

Bryant pre-enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17, graduated from High School in 2013 and shipped off for Navy Boot Camp in Great Falls, Illinois in July 2013. After Boot Camp, Bryant trained to be a Navy Logistics Specialist from September - December 2013 in Meridian, Mississippi.

After logistics training, Bryant was assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman and was flown to the Middle East where he made a fixed wing landing on the aircraft carrier to join a deployment that was already under way. Bryant would go on to complete a total of three deployments aboard the Truman.

After serving four years on Active Duty, Bryant separated from the U.S. Navy in July 2017 and immediately joint the US Air Force Reserves in August 2017. Bryant attended USAF Technical School to become a Security Forces Defender from April - July 2018. Bryant then deployed to United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April - September 2019. Bryant remained actively involved with the AF Reserve at the 919th Special Operations Wing at Duke Field, Florida until his passing.

After separating from the US Navy in July 2017, when not on US Air Force orders/deployment, Bryant was a full-time college student at Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) in Panama City, Florida. White at GCSC, Bryant competitively selected to be a Student Ambassador, was enrolled in the Honors Program and was just a few credits shy of completing his Associates of Arts degree in Business Management with a concentration in Logistics. Bryant was also just shy of completing his Community College of the Air Force Associates degree in Criminal Justice. Bryant's plans were to use his Post - 911 GI Bill to continue studies towards a Bachelor's degree with continued education at the Graduate level.

From July 2017 to his passing, Bryant also worked part time at Rosemary Beach Racquet Club Facilities Management where he oversaw daily duties necessary to maintain the operations of the Racquet Club. Bryant was just getting ready to begin aggressively taking tennis lessons so that he could spend some time with his co-workers at the professional club. During his free time (which was minimal), Bryant enjoyed interacting with his extended family on the Culp Farm in Neosho, Missouri where he always loved riding 4-wheelers, fishing and just running around on the wide-open land with his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Bryant's biggest passion was buying, fixing up, driving and selling cars, trucks and motorcycle, with numerous projects going on at any given point in time. He especially enjoyed riding his new Harley Davidson Street Glide with his friends and riding club, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Panama City, Florida.
