Virginia Tice

Virginia M. Tice, 90, Neosho, MO, passed into eternal rest March 25, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

Virginia Mae Chester was born December 29, 1929 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Sadie Rinehart) Chester. Virginia was a lifelong area resident. She had worked for US Metal until retiring in 1992 and then went to work as a cook for the Westview C6 School District. Virginia loved gardening and her family.

Virginia Mae Chester married Jason Tice in Seneca, MO in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2002.








Survivors include her children; Rex Tice and wife Carol, Seneca, Charles Tice and wife Shirley, Neosho, Sarah Adams and husband Calvin, Seneca, Rodney Tice, Seneca and Janie Tice, Seneca; brothers, Marvin Chester, Donald Chester, Jerry Chester and Darrell Chester all of Seneca; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 brothers, Vernon Rinehart, Kenneth Chester, Max Chester, 1 sister, Elizabeth East, sister-in-law Sue Chester, grandson Justin Roark and great-grandson Brandon Lee.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 7PM, Friday, March 27, 2020 at the funeral home.
Do to mandates from CDC, National Funeral Directors Association and the State of Missouri, there will not be an organized visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends who would like to view is welcome to come to the funeral home. We can only allow 10 people in the facilities at one time. The family will be having a private graveside.
