Ruth Marie Nicoletti

Ruth Marie (Hudson) Nicoletti was born April 23, 1931 in the Splitlog, Missouri area, the daughter of Levy and Parelee (Stonecipher) Hudson. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at her home in Splitlog at the age of 88 years.

Ruth Marie attended Goodman High School where she lettered in volleyball. She then went to Oklahoma Nazarene College, Bethany, Oklahoma, where she graduated with a secretarial degree. After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper at Bank of Neosho, where she was later promoted to Head Bookkeeper. 

She married her sweetheart, Ernest L. Nicoletti on November 22, 1951 at Banner Church of the Nazarene, Splitlog, Missouri. They lived north of Goodman for a few years before moving to the Nicoletti farm. Together, they owned and operated Splitlog Grocery for 17 years. After beginning her family, she became a devoted mother and homemaker. She did return to the Bank of Neosho as a teller for a few years after the children were older. 

Ruth Marie was a lifelong member of Banner Church of the Nazarene, Splitlog, Missouri, where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher, board member, secretary-treasurer, and pianist. She also served in the missionary society of the church. She received the distinguished service award from Banner Nazarene Church for her devotion and services.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, on February 12, 2015. 










She is survived by her children: daughter, Joyce Nicoletti of Splitlog; two sons, Terry Nicoletti and wife, Vicki of Vincennes, Indiana and Tony Nicoletti and wife, Michelle of Splitlog; eight grandchildren: Ryan Nicoletti and wife, Brandy, Warrensburg, Missouri, Natali Edwards and husband, Monte of Fishers, Indiana, Cody Nicoletti and wife, Bri of Prairie Village, Kansas, Amanda Mitchell and husband, Wade of Anderson, Missouri, Jacob Nicoletti and wife, Hope of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, Andrew Nicoletti and wife, Steph of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, Annette Garcia and husband, Yilber of Centerton, Arkansas, and Alison Nicoletti of Splitlog, Missouri; great grandchildren: Jackson Mailen, Nicolette Edwards, Camille Edwards, Connor Nicoletti, Madison Nicoletti, Kaydon Nicoletti, Zane Mitchell, Eli Mitchell, Daxton Nicoletti, and Alex Garcia; many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, March 23, 2020 at Banner Cemetery, Splitlog, Missouri, with Rev. Dennis Bergen officiating. A Celebration of Life Service to honor Ruth Marie will be held at a later date and will be announced.
