Josephine Ann Blobaum, 88, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Friday evening, March 20, 2020 at National Health Care Nursing Home, Joplin, Missouri.
Josephine was born January 19, 1932 in Delavan Illinois, to the late Hubert Fisher and Florence (Austin) Fisher. She graduated from Delavan High School in 1950.
She married Romaine Blobaum in 1956, to this union five children were born; they later divorced.
Josephine was a homemaker, and a beautician for many years before moving to Joplin in 1985. She then owned and operated the Missouri Scientific School of Cosmetology for many years teaching cosmetology. She loved playing the piano, crocheting, quilting, sewing, and cooking, but especially spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Blobaum, Springfield, Missouri, and Edward Blobaum and wife Lisa, Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Mary Holly and husband Clay, Arab, Alabama, and Bonnie Bennet, Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Mary Steege, Bloomington, Illinois; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Blobaum; two infant sons, Romaine Blobaum, and Mark Blobaum; a granddaughter Amber Blobaum; two brothers, Jim Fisher, and Hubert Fisher; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey, and Julia Sullivan.
