Mr. Roy Lee Curtis, 60, of Southwest City, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at his residence after a recent decline in health.
Roy entered this life on January 12, 1960, in Kremmling, Colorado, son of the late Ray and Vera (McMahan) Curtis. He was raised in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas and was a lifelong area resident, residing the last seven years in Southwest City, Missouri. Roy was a truck driver throughout his life and was a talented autobody repairman. He enjoyed old cars, woodworking and was a huge OU fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John, Lester, Bertha, Leroy and Tanna.
Roy is survived by his wife, Laura Curtis of the home; two children, Waylon Curtis of North Carolina and Betty Curtis of Jay, Oklahoma; five stepchildren, Crystal Beaver of Anderson, Missouri, Valerie Bates of Anderson, Justin Bates of Jay, Oklahoma, Crystal Haggard of Gravette, Arkansas and J.J. Gillming of Webb City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; sixteen step-grandchildren; four sisters, Christy Kirby of Maysville, Arkansas, Jackie Wheeler of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, Bertie Hance of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Rita Curtis also of Siloam Springs; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Querry officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
