Brian Potter

Brian Douglas Potter, 57, went to his eternal home on March 27, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on May 28, 1968, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Kenneth Potter and Gale Browning Potter.

Brian married his dear wife Kellie Schuermann, on May 22, 1988, in Oklahoma. They shared 37 years of marriage, she survives him.

Brian worked in the food service for over 20 years. Outside of work, he loved spending time outdoors going camping and canoeing. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending ball games, especially partial to the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.








He liked to sing and enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel quartets, singing along with the songs about his Savior.

Above everything, Brian truly loved the Lord with all his heart. His faith was an important part of his life and did not go unnoticed by his family.

Brian was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He had a huge heart and showed it in big ways.








He is survived by his wife, Kellie Potter; his children, Kyle Potter of Neosho, Ashlie (Seth) Reed of Webb City, Kimber (Lucas) Chew of Granby, and Nickolas (Jasmin) Potter of Mt. Vernon; and eight grandchildren, Kyalynn Potter, Elijah Chew, Zion Reed, Carson Chew, Titus Reed, Lilyana Potter, Gwendalynn Reed, and Jane Potter. He is also survived by two sisters, Kenna Lea (Jim) Tuggle of Neosho and Julie (Daniel) Guthrie of Neosho, and three nephews, Drew Browning, Connor Keeling, and Caleb Keeling, and one niece Austyn Guthrie-Cantwell.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to pay their respects.
