(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Margaret Louise McCoy (Bishop), 88 was a life long Carthage Resident born to Sol and Ella Bishop (Campbell) on February 25, 1938. Went to be with our dear dad Paul H. McCoy, they were married 60 years before dad’s passing in 2018. To this marriage were 3 children Ella McCoy, Randall (Terry) McCoy, Paul A (Gayle) McCoy; all of Carthage, Missouri.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, son Randall, and her parents. Along with sisters, Esther, Lillian, Rose Mary, and brothers, Robert and George.
She is survived by Ella, Paul A (Gayle), Terry McCoy, one sister Barbara Rose (Monett, Missouri), along with 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren one more due in July, and many nieces and nephews and family.
She worked at Juvenile Shoes, Wal-Mart Jewelry, Carthage R-9 Fairview Kitchen. She was a member of the Carthage VFW Post 2590. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and brother-in-laws and camping with their friends and playing cards.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Many thanks to Good Shephard Hospice.
A graveside service is scheduled for Margaret at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
