(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Cecil Givens, 76, of Monett entered eternal rest on Saturday March 21, 2026 while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in McHenry, Kentucky on January 9, 1950; the son of the late Carl and Mae (Morris) Givens Sr.
He was a retired OTR Truck driver, a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War, and loved his dog, Nicholas.
Cecil is survived by two sons; Ray Givens of Blue Springs, Missouri and Greg Givens of Hartford, Kentucky; three daughters; Cheri Freeman of Monett, Missouri, Jennifer Sexton of Forrest Branch, Kentucky, and Shawnette Drury of Mulberry, Florida; one brother; Johnny of Evansville; two sisters; Francis and Joeanne of Hartford, Kentucky; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled for Cecil at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
