Mark Sidler

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Mark Dennis Sidler, born October 15, 1956, at March Air Force Base in Riverside, California, passed away March, 10, 2026 in Joplin, Mo.

Mark spent much of his early life in California before moving in his 40s to Kansas City to begin the next chapter of life as a granddad.

A machinist by trade, Mark was known for his strong work ethic and a tendency to arrive 30 minutes early for work and most events.

Outside of work, he enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He had a big heart and a love for children, especially his grandchildren, Mason and Aubry. As a child, Mark had a fascination with blowing things up, a curiosity that later grew into a lifelong interest in rockets and space shuttle launches. In later years, he shared that wonder with his grandchildren by building and launching toy rockets together. He had a fondness for sharing the joy of the circus, toy train rides, and neon lights. He also enjoyed the excitement of motorcycle riding, and NASCAR.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Sidler; his children, Philip Keegan and

Jo-Lynn Kleinsorge; grandchildren, Mason Kleinsorge and Aubry Kleinsorge; his brothers, Larry Sidler and Steve Sidler; his niece, Jessica Lopez and loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Millie Sidler; his brother, Jeff Sidler; and his sister, Debra Martinez.

A private family memorial will take place at a later time.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home. As we commemorate and celebrate Mark's life, the family encourages relatives and friends to visit www.simpsonfh.com.
