(From Daniel Funeral Home)Carolyn Lee Isaac, age 86, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar.
Carolyn was born October 10, 1939, in Iola, Kansas, to Francis “Fritz” Walter Womack and Doris Jean (Parks) Womack. She graduated from Iola High School with the Class of 1957. On November 16, 1959, Carolyn was united in marriage to Larry Eugene Isaac Sr. in Iola, Kansas.
Carolyn devoted her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother. She was a faithful and active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamar, where her strong faith guided her daily life. She was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and was honored as the 1957 Kansas State Rodeo Queen. Carolyn will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her steadfast faith, and her involvement in her community.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; one son, Evart Wayne Isaac and wife, Gina, of Lamar; one daughter, Karolyn Sue “Susie” Knierim, of Lamar; six grandchildren, Rodney Troutz and wife, Angela, Tiffany Lewis and husband, Steven, Kyle Knierim, Will Isaac and wife, Rachel, Brenna Giger, and Emily O’Connell and husband, Chad; ten great-grandchildren, Jack Troutz, Sabrina Feezell and husband Jacob, Jodie Lewis, Payton Giger, Tucker Giger, Baylee Giger, Keaton Isaac, Mason Isaac, Kinley Isaac, and Addison Rodgers; and two great-great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Feezell and Jayden Mangold.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry Eugene Isaac Jr.; two brothers, John Womack and Jack Womack; and two sisters, Doris Jackman and Betty Murray.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lamar, Missouri. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m., Monday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church prior to the Funeral Mass.
The funeral home will be open Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the register book. The family will not be in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.
Carolyn’s life was a reflection of love, faith, and devotion to her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
