Stella McDaniel

(From Ulmer Funeral Home)

Stella Mae McDaniel, 92, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in
Webb City, Missouri. Stella was born on December 6, 1933, to Russell and Ethel (Burger)
Thompson in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Stella was a long-time Carthage resident. She was a homemaker
and mother.

Stella was united in marriage to Wayne G. McDaniel on January 8, 1950, in Yuma, Arizona.

They lived their life like two teenagers in love.

Stella’s favorite thing in the world was spending time with her husband, Wayne. The life they
lived spanned some 68 years and multitudes of adventures. They were heavily involved in
serving God and others through ministries in the Assemblies of God church. Together they
pastored many churches in California, Hawaii and Missouri. They have led many to the Lord
over the years and are, no doubt, re-uniting with many friends and family who have gone on
before them.

Stella is survived by her son, Russell McDaniel (Yvette) of Joplin, Missouri; daughter-in-law,
Deanna McDaniel (Randy) of Webb City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Rachelle Hafer (Josh),
Kary Vaughn (Jimmy), Jessica Taylor (Chris), Christian McDaniel (Kylie), William McDaniel,
and Andrew McDaniel (Lexi); Great grandchildren: Morgan, Jordan, Pallim, Brett, Bo, Brooks,
Lennon, Knox, Devrin, Jayden, Raven, Rylee, Shelby and Ava. Great great grandchildren: DJ,
Jerome and Judah and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son Randy McDaniel (November 21, 2015) and husband Wayne
(September 14, 2018.); granddaughter, Katy Weathers; her parents, Russell and Ethel Thompson;
one brother, James Thompson; two sisters, Mary Whitakker and Betty Graham.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Carthage, Missouri.
