Earl Dickson

Earl Lee Dickson, 84, passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 2, 2026, at home with his three sons.

Earl was born February 1, 1947, in Webb City, Missouri, to the late Earl and Lou Dickson.

In his youth, Earl was part of the Yellow Jackets (a local motorcycle club), competed in motorcycle races, and enjoyed being an auto mechanic for Dan Stanley Ford before finishing a career at Tri-State Motor Transit.

Earl survived the May 22, 2011, Joplin EF-5 tornado with Ann. They continued living in Joplin, where he enjoyed playing his dulcimer and wood carving.

Earl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann, his sisters Carolyn and Shirley, and his great-granddaughter Katie; he was survived by his sister Martha; sons Philip, Stephen, and Dennis (wife Laurie); grandchildren Heather, Sydney (husband Bryan), and Lyndsey (husband Russel); great-grandchildren Lillian, Sadie, and Aubrey.

No services will be held as Earl's wish was to be cremated.
