Becky Hale

Rebecca L. “Becky” Hale, 71, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri.

Becky was born April 9, 1955, in Oswego, KS, to Earl and Patsy (Ridgeway) Foss. Becky was raised in Chetopa, KS, where she graduated from Chetopa High School.

She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, beloved mama (grandma) and friend whose life touched many through her warmth, dedication, and joyful spirit.








She devoted her early years to raising a loving family as a homemaker. Later, she embarked on a distinguished working career, first contributing ten years at Amazon in Coffeyville until the warehouse's closure, then continuing her professional journey at Eagle Picher in Joplin, Missouri, where she served as quality control manager.

Beyond her professional life, Becky was an avid gardener, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing her plants and creating beauty around her. She loved her family and friends and found great joy in spending time with those close to her.

Survivors include:

Two daughters, Ashley Moore and her husband Josh of Chetopa, KS

Mattie Freeberg and her husband Hunter of Parsons, KS

Son Tyler Hale of Neosho, MO

Eight grandchildren: Gracie, Trenton, Karsyn, Hadyn, Ryleigh, Trace, Maddox, and Klacee.

Three brothers Bobby Foss of Springfield, MO

Craig Foss and his wife Janice of Branson, MO

Joe Foss and his wife Dena of Vinita, OK

Two sisters: Jan Back and her husband Greg of Oswego, KS








Kelli Riddle and her husband R.L. of Louisburg, KS.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Hale and daughter, Leslie Hale.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, 605 Locust St, Chetopa, KS. Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa, KS.

Memorials are suggested to the City of Chetopa, for beautification projects around town. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
