Daryl Lamb

Daryl Alison Lamb, 82, of Nevada, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Daryl was born on August 6, 1943, in Lamar, MO. He attended Newport Country School and Golden City School through the sixth grade before continuing his education at Nevada High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1961.

In May of 1961, Daryl met the love of his life, Carolyn Murray. The two were united in marriage on March 14, 1964, and shared more than 62 wonderful years together filled with love, family, and cherished memories.








Daryl and Carolyn were blessed with three children: Douglas Lamb (Dana), Sheila Bell (David), and Sherry Jones (Mike). Family was the center of Daryl’s life, and he especially treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Daryl worked a variety of jobs, including positions with Seatons Meat Packing, Barton County Meat Packing, Yeager Wholesale Company, Key Industry, Nevada Skelgas, and Carthage LP Gas. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.

Daryl enjoyed camping trips during the summer with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He also had a special love for his old pickup trucks, which he took great pride in keeping in beautiful condition.








He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Lamb; his children, Douglas Lamb (Dana), Sheila Bell (David), and Sherry Jones (Mike); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Sharon Cartwright and Beverly Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lyle Lamb and Luther Lamb; his sister, Janelle McKinley; and his brother-in-law, Larry McKinley.

Daryl will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his quiet strength, and the many happy memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May12th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO. A graveside service will follow in Moore Cemetery immediately following.

Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
