Jeff Howard

Jeffrey (Jeff) Keith Howard, 56, of Nixa, MO passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019.

He was born on May 26, 1963 in Phoenix, AZ to Darrell and Barbara Howard.

Jeff attended Asbury Elementary, Waco Elementary, and Carl Junction High School in Carl Junction, MO. He graduated in 1981 and went on to serve his country in the armed forces with the United States Navy. He was awarded the Navy “E” Ribbon and the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal for his service. He was honorably discharged in 1995.

During his military service, Jeff married and had two children, Josh Howard (Carl Junction) and Morgan Stiles (Carthage), both of whom survive. He remained local for many years but eventually relocated to the St. Louis, MO area.

Jeff loved his job and the work that he did. He worked for several companies such as Marco, Continental Equipment Company, and Superior Industries. He oversaw large projects and took a lot of pride in his career.

Jeff loved all things St. Louis Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, fishing, boating, being on the lake, traveling, and spending time with the ones he loved the most—his family and his friends. He loved watching sports, spending time outside, eating good food, and having a great time. Jeff loved meeting new people and dancing an singing to good music.

Jeff was proceeded in death by his parents Darrell and Barbara Howard, his dear friend Joe Wilkins, his Uncle Fred, and many other dear loved ones.










He is survived by his two children Josh Howard (Stephanie) and Morgan Stiles (Eli), his five siblings Valerie Howard Keys, Dennis Howard (Joanna), Julie Ashworth (Jeff), Annette Clark (Jason), and Kim Mackney (David), his three grandchildren Declan, Cora, and Millie and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Fire Station in Asbury, MO on September 28th from 2-4 PM. The address is 525 Main Street, Asbury, MO 64832. Dress is casual.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the Benefit Fund for Jeff Howard. Donations can be dropped off at or mailed to any Southwest Missouri Bank location and will be used for a donation to the American Cancer Society and the remainder will be used to provide for his three grandchildren.
