Mary Patterson

Mary Leota Patterson, Granby, MO entered into rest September 28, 2019 after a short illness, at the age of 87 years, eleven months, and twenty-six days.

Mary was born October 2, 1931 in Ritchey, MO to Claude and Velma (Cooper) English. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker, a former factory worker, and until approximately ten years ago, was a substitute cook for the East Newton school district. 

Mary and Gene W. Patterson were married May 14, 1956; he preceded her in death on April 28, 2003. Mary was a member of the Ritchey Baptist Church and the Ritchey Chicks. She loved to work on the farm, milk cows, pick berries, and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 








Mary is survived by her children, Anga Lemaster and husband, Bill of Ritchey and Doug Patterson and wife, Janice of Granby; four grandchildren, Thomas Patterson, Micah Moorehouse, Haley Harris, and Danielle Bennett; and three great grandchildren, Aiden, Benjamin and Henry Bennett. In addition to her husband, Gene, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Claudledean Burrows.

Services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel in Granby, MO. Caleb Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Hazelgreen Cemetery in the Boulder City Community. Tyler Bennett, Matthew Harris, Matt Moorehouse, and Thomas Patterson will serve as pallbearers. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 1 from 5:30 until 7:00 at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to either Hazelgreen Cemetery or Newtonia IOOF Cemetery, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 26; Granby, MO 64844.
