Mary D'Amato

Memorial Services will be Friday September 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Prestbyterian Church in Carthage, MO.

Mary Elizabeth (McDaniel) D’Amato, 94, passed away September 17, 2019 in Carthage MO. Mary was born on 09/28/1924 in Golden City, MO to Earnest William McDaniel and Mary Beatrice Childers they preceded her in death.

Mary lived here in Carthage MO then moved to Van Nays, CA where she was employed by Rocketdyne in 1956 until she retired in 1981. Rocketdyne now called Boeing was the manufacturer of the Space Shuttle Engines and Aircraft. She worked there in Telecommunications and was a Switch Board Operator. She then moved back to Carthage MO in 1990 where she then lived the reminder of her life.








She attended The Presbyterian Church in Carthage, her love was her grandchildren and family, her hobbies where playing cards, loved working in her flower garden, she had the love of her poodles, enjoyed the farm family life with her son & grandchildren and liked to keep house. She was known by her grandchildren, family and friends as “Grandma Muffy”.She was a kind, gentle, loving grandma many will miss &cherish forever.

Mary was married to Harold Baker divorced then later married Bob D’Amato, divorced, both deceased.

Son was Jim Baker, retired Carthage Police Officer, he preceded her in death.

Survivors:

Grandchildren are Stephen Baker of Kansas City, MO, Daniel Baker of South Dakota, Sandra Ratliff & Sister Rita Caruthers of Reeds, MO

Great Grandchildren are Blake Baker, Alysia Baker, Rileigh & Broc Ratliff, Emily Littlefield, Taylor Baker, Britany Moor.

Great Great Grandchildren are Brently Baker, Reese & Addison Schrader, Kensley Caswell, TJ Baker, Aubrey and AJ Moor.
