David Wesley Nichols, age 73, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.
David was born February 21, 1946 in Carthage to the late Ernest Samuel Nichols and Mary Carolyn (Harp) Nichols. He worked as a custodian at Schreiber Foods in Carthage. David was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Carthage.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert L. Nichols, Carthage, and Danny R. Nichols (wife Brenda), Carl Junction, Missouri; one sister, Deloris Simsick, Sarcoxie, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held 6-7 pm, Monday, September 30, 2019 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church, Carthage. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to Bible Baptist Church, Carthage or St. Jude’s in care of Knell Mortuary.
