Shirley Ann Murphy, 81, Neosho, MO entered into rest September 11, 2019. Shirley was born November 19, 1937 in Southwest City, MO to Denzil R. and Berniece (Kirby) Mullin.
She and Edgar L. Murphy were married December 31, 1968 in Kansas City, MO; he preceded her in death on April 8, 1995. They lived in the Kansas City area before returning to the Neosho area in 1993. Shirley was a homemaker. She was a very giving person who loved to cook, to bake, to be with her family, and who loved fast cars. She was a part of the Sheep Shed family.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Michael Kirby of Leavenworth, KS and Brent Kirby of Mason City, IL; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her beloved companion, her dog, Sassy; and a special friend whom she considered as family, Steve Brennanman.
In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, September 16, 2019 at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO. Interment will follow at Lanagan Cemetery, Lanagan, MO. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Monday at Clark Funeral Home.
