Sharon Faye Belk, age 79, Webb City, passed away at 11:54 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Sharon was born April 16, 1940 in Neck City, Missouri to the late Vernon Clark and Olene Lipe Clark and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Belk; her sister, Shirley Kirk; and a son, Corey Hulse.
Sharon was not afraid of hard work. She worked a lot of jobs to make ends meet as a single parent. She worked at Lee’s Steak House, Sands Inn, Oak Hill Hospital and One Hour Cleaner, just to name a few.
She had a passion for bowling, knitting and especially cats. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by three sons, Tony & Pat Belk, Joplin, Scott and Roni Belk, Carterville, Mike Belk, Joplin; one brother, Donnie Clark and his wife Jackie Grove, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Doug. Cody, Austin and wife Katie, Damion, Sarah and husband, David, Carrie and husband, Bruce, Shawn and wife, Carrie, Charles, Tessa; and great-grandchildren, Sadie, Kenley, Miles, Paisley, Max, Lincoln, Gabriel, Persephone, Rachel, Devyn, Christian, Tia, Miriam, Kairi, Hannah, Andrew, Joel, Leah, Levi, Saphire, Crystal, Jade and Jasper.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery. Tim Wright will officiate.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
