Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Kennedy, age 54, passed away at 12:53 am, Monday, September 16, 2019 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, MO following an illness.
Jeff was born October 6, 1964 in Pittsburg, KS. His parents were James and Linda (Goff) Kennedy.
As a boy, his family moved from Pittsburg to California where they lived several years. He later moved to the State of Florida, moving to Cherokee County, KS about 20 years ago. He last worked in the Sanitation Department at Barnes Pet Care, Joplin, MO. He attended House of Prayer, Riverton, Kansas.
Jeff was married to Mica Ann Kinslow on August 1, 2003 in Saginaw, Missouri. She survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Benjamin Kennedy, Miami, OK; one daughter, Samantha Merit, Fairland, OK; his mother, Linda Kennedy, Tyler, TX; one brother, Scott Kennedy, Galena, KS; one sister, Sherry Wickline, Tyler, TX; 4 grandchildren, Gracie Merit, Eli Merit, Maverick Merit, and Briar Kennedy; and two uncles, Dan Goff and Ben Goff, State of California.
Jeff was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will hold memorial services at a later date.
