Kenneth Dewayne Arehart, 42, Granby, entered into rest on September 14, 2019 from injuries sustained from an accident.
Dewayne was born on May 23, 1977 in Savannah, Georgia. He moved to the Southwest Missouri area with his family from German in 1983. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1994 and had worked as a diesel mechanic at Petro in Joplin and was a DOT inspector. Dewayne enjoyed working on automotive equipment, kayaking, Nascar and was a Dale Earnhart fan. He especially enjoyed being with his family and he was a member of Birch Baptist Church.
Dewayne and Christina (Skiles) were married on Oct. 20, 2018 in Bonne Terre, Missouri and she survives.
Additional survivors include his mother, Eileen Dell of Granby; four children, J. C. Gamblin, Missty Gamblin, Katlyn Arehart and Chelsea Arehart; one brother, Jonathan P. Arehart of Granby; one step brother, Linis Dell, Jr. of Carl Junction; one step sister, Christy Dell of Joplin and one grandchild, Kaydence Myers.
He is preceded in death by a son, Alex Arehart and his stepfather, Linis Dell, Sr.
Services will be Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Interment will follow in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan P. Arehart, J. C. Gamblin, Dustin Whitehill, Jonathan A. Arehart, Joey Hall and Jim Reed. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
