Butch Fenix

W. David “Butch” Fenix, age 77, of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Friday September 20, 2019.

He was born December 27, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri to Jay Dee and Catherine (Walker) Fenix.

Butch worked for Yellow Freight. He also worked as a mason and for Morrow Mill.

His family was top priority and he was very involved and instrumental in making them who they are today. He loved horses, rodeo, cattle and teaching horsemanship to his children and grandchildren.









He married Brenda Crosby and they were married 55 years ago on August 28, 1964. Brenda survives as well as one son Michael Fenix, one daughter Shawn Lewis and husband Rob, two grandchildren, Paige Beck and husband Statler, and Clay Fenix, one great granddaughter, Charlee Beck, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be 6:00 pm Wednesday September 25, 2019 at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with Bernie Crosby officiating. The family will receive friends immediate following the service until 7:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Horses for Hope and they may be sent in care of the mortuary.
