Dixie Riley

Dixie Dorlene was born May 3, 1937 in Ballard, Oklahoma to the late James Levi 'Lee' Willis and Dixie Aletha Armstrong Willis.

When she was eleven years old, they moved to Asbury, Missouri. She was a member of the Asbury Baptist Church. Dixie attended the Asbury school and graduated from Carl Junction High School.

On January 21, 1967, she married Delmer Riley. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Frost.

Dixie had a green thumb and took great joy in the vegetables, plants and flowers that she grew. One of Dixie's loves was tracing her genealogy. She was always excited to find where she had come from and to welcome all of her new found cousins into her ever widening family circle.








Dixie is survived by sons, Johnnie Frost and wife, Susan, Donnie Frost and wife, Michelle; a sister, Linda Watts and husband, Buddy, Joplin; a brother, Clifford Willis, Joplin; grandchildren, Michelle Frost, Johnnie Frost, Jr., Garrett Frost, Ethan Frost, Brandon Frost, Stepheny Frost, Bobbi Speaker; great grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, Autumn, Gabrielle, Xavier, Delilah; a nephew, Bill Custis and wife, Andrea and their children, Chantelle and Dathon; three step daughters, Patty Brewer, Donna Stover, Joni Riley; step grandchildren, Monte, Travis, Missy, Michael, Shelly, John; and one step great grandchild, Cheyenne;

Services are planned for Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Alan McCamey will officiate. Interment will follow at Crocker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
