Beecher Allen Campbell age 103 passed away at his home on Sep 5, 2019.
Beecher was born Aug 5, 1916 in Galena Kansas to William T. and Nellie J (Alexander) Campbell. He attended schools in Oak Valley, Hallowell and Oswego Kansas.
On Aug 21, 1937 he married Bertha A. Smith. She preceded him in death September 3, 1987. They were both lifelong members of the Assembly of God church in Oswego. Beecher and Bertha raised a family of seven children. Two sons, Bobby and Dwight, preceded them in death.
Other surviving children include; Son Allen and wife Karen Campbell of Boerne TX, Daughter Patty Koons of Oswego, Daughter Linda and husband David Justice of rural Chetopa, Son Michael and wife Peggy Campbell of rural Columbus, Son Kenny and wife Janice Campbell of Salida Colorado, Step-son, Paul Starne and wife Dianne,, Joplin, MO, and Sister, Delda Smith of Oswego. He also has many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and loved them all dearly.
Beecher married Katherine Starnes on April 27, 1988. She passed away on June 6, 2019 at the age of 101. He was also preceded in death by one grandson. Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego KS is handling Beecher's services.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 11, from 10:00AM - 12:00PM with graveside services and interment to follow at the Oswego Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
