On February 22, 2024, our world dimmed as we said goodbye to a remarkable man, Richard Steven Martin, known fondly by many as Steve. He was born in the heart of Joplin, MO on July 23, 1953. Richard's unwavering commitment to his calling as a Maintenance Technician at Mercy (St. Johns Hospital) for 30 years demonstrated his resolute dedication and passion. He was a loving pillar of his community, always there with a helping hand and a warm smile.

Richard was a loving soul who cherished his family. The bond he shared with his sister, Theresa, was nothing short of extraordinary. Even though he was widowed, the love he held for his wife, Sharon, never wavered and continued to shine brightly in his heart. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Neoma Martin.

A graveside service honoring Richard's life will be held at the Hazelgreen Cemetery, Boulder City, MO on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 10:00am with Greg Gardner officiating. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Richard to join us in celebrating his life.
