Clifford Kennell, 85, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Clifford was born in Carthage on December 11, 1938, to Maryln Kennell and Hazel (Jones) Kennell.
He started working at the age of twelve in the car business and on the farm. He worked until he was 85 years old, a total of 73 years with Cliff Kennell Motors. In his down time, he enjoyed participating in and watching drag racing.
Cliff was united in marriage to Patricia Louise Sandidge on November 27, 1954. They were married for 63 years before she preceded him in death (April 16, 2018).
He is survived by one son, Kel Kennell of Carthage; one daughter, Lana Graham of Carthage; one brother-in-law, Jeff Steffin of Webb City; three grandchildren, Rayce Kennell, Devin Chance and wife Kelly, and Dara Chance; and two great grandchildren, Sidney Steffin and Avery Steffin.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Kennell, and his parents Maryln and Hazel Kennell.
Per Clifford’s wishes, he will be cremated, and his family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
