Donna Sue (Means) Gimlin, 79, went to be with her Lord on February 20, 2024.
Donna was born February 1, 1945 to Wilson T. and Lula E. (Fleeman) Means. She was born with poor eyesight, which made her more determined to do the things people said she could not do. Donna owned a rug weaving business and sold rugs all over the United States. Also, she owned and ran a ceramic and greenhouse businesses. Donna worked for Mom’s Country Kitchen restaurant for several years and was an assistant cook at the Senior Citizens Center in Greenfield, Missouri.
Donna over the years served as President and Vice-President of the Dadeville P.T.A, President of the Dadeville Booster Club, President of the Dadeville Park Board, President for the Oats Transportation for Dade and Barton counties, and board member for the Dade County Genealogical Society. She loved doing genealogical research on her family and other people’s families.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Ray Means.
She is survived by two brothers, Bernard Means and wife Kay of Lockwood, Missouri, and Ben Means and wife Leslie of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma; three sons, David Wayne Gimlin and wife Kelly of Leesburg, Florida, Steve Alan Gimlin and wife Kimberly of Springfield, Missouri, and Amos Wilson Gimlin of Greenfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Council of the Blind. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
