Clyde England

Robert Clyde England III, 63, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 18.

He was born March 27, 1960, in Joplin to Robert Clyde England Jr. and Auburn England.

Clyde loved to draw and paint. His painting of an eagle still graces the halls of Joplin High School. He was also a member of the 1977 High School State Championship basketball team. He was a devout member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.







He graduated from Memorial High School and Missouri Southern State College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He went on to have a very successful career in retail. In his spare time, he loved watching sports, listening all types of music, making art and traveling. On his trip to Paris, he was even mistaken as soul artist James Ingram.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Lottie Gaston; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Clyde England Sr. and O’Dear Garcia.

Survivors include his parents, Robert “Bobby” and Auburn of Joplin; his sister, Raquel, of Joplin; his niece, Calisha, of Joplin; along with aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Pallbearers are Leon Finner, Fred Palmer Jr., Mitch Cross, Albert McGee, Ivy Iverson and Henry Pullum Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Ogden and Colin Kissick.








Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Clyde’s name to the charity of your choice.

There will be a viewing on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with Rev. Sam Nero Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at Parkway Cemetery.
