Joan Lawson

Joan Elizabeth Lawson, age 81 of Seneca, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 12, 2024 following an extended illness. Joan was born September 17, 1942 in Hollywood, California to the late Willis Garner and Donna (Dent) Millard.

At a young age, Joan’s family moved to the Joplin area where she resided the remaining years. She worked for Bagcraft for 10 years and then moving to Eagle Picher Technologies where she retired after 30 plus years of service. Joan was member of The Sheep Shed.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Deana Edwards and husband, Randy of Joplin; step-daughters, Nancy Montoya and husband, Ben of New Mexico and Judy Childers of Wisconsin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Other than her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Lawson whom passed in April of 2019, as well as a sister, Janice Schnack.

A committal of ashes will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
