Jennie Turner

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Our beloved Jennie Lynn Turner, fondly known as Hoss, Jen Jen, GiGi, and Mommer, departed from our lives on February 11, 2024. Born on April 18, 1968, in Joplin, MO, Jennie spent her 55 years enriching the lives of everyone she touched. She worked at Dyno Nobel for the last 36 years. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1986.

Jennie was more than just a dedicated worker; she was an empathetic soul who nurtured those around her. She loved thrifting, a hobby that mirrored her love for uncovering hidden gems in people and things. She also loved spending time with her grandkids, camping, paddle boarding, and reminiscing about her motorcycling days.

Jennie was a bright spark that grew up in Webb City. Jennie was a proud daughter to Nellie Turner and the late Sandy Turner, a cherished sister to Jettie Bell, a beloved mother to Trobi Haslip and Brea Haslip, and GiGi to Dealynn, Heatly and Hudson, along with her loving life partner Steve Spencer, and numerous other family members. Her family was her world. Her love for her family was not just bound by blood; it extended to the countless hearts she touched throughout her life.

She may have left our sight, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Her visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 5pm-7pm at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A graveside service will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at Carterville Cemetery with Chaplain Kyle Beverlin officiating.

In honor of Jennie, we invite you to visit www.simpsonfh.com to share your memories and upload photos that celebrate her life. In the words of Leo Buscaglia, "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Let's remember Jennie for her acts of caring that touched and turned our lives around.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
