Sharon Hodges

Sharon Sue Hodges, age 77, of Webb City, Missouri passed away on February 22nd, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 11th, 1946 in Carthage, Missouri to Cornelius Ukena and Lois Waynick. Sharon was married to Wayne Hodges on July 2nd, 1965 in Carthage,
Missouri.

Sharon graduated from Carthage high school and later began work at AmeriCold Foods in Carthage, MO and worked up to a supervisor position where she remained until retirement.

She enjoyed cross-stitching, flowers, bird watching, and being in nature as often as possible. Sharon is survived by her husband, Wayne, two daughters, Missy (Diane) Simonds (Scott), Cheryl Reed (Howard), one brother, Stephen Ukena (Saundra), one sister, Sally Reynolds, five grandchildren, Erica Reynolds (Russell), Becky Wright (Jake), Dylan Armstrong (Addie), Erin Simonds (Clayton), Emma Taylor-Reed, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Cornelius Ukena, and one brother-in-law,
Larry Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Wildcat Glades Conservation Center in Joplin, MO.
