Jeanette Henry

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Jeanette Rosien Henry, a cherished pastor's wife, mother, and grandmother, was called home to our Lord and Savior on February 17, 2024.

Born in Pawnee County, Oklahoma, on March 15, 1935, to Charles and Bertha Reed, Jeanette was the youngest sibling among six. Her family relocated from Mannford, Oklahoma, to Sweet Home, Oregon, during her infancy, marking the beginning of a life full of love, service, and devotion.

On July 7, 1952, Jeanette married Verdon Dale Henry, embarking on a journey of love and companionship that lasted 62 years. Together, they welcomed four children into their lives, with Jeanette embracing the role of a pastor's wife with grace and dedication.

Her involvement in church ministry, especially within the children's department, left a lasting impact on many. Jeanette's passion for serving others led her to establish a women's retreat while they were pastoring at Victory Tabernacle, a ministry that continues to thrive and touch lives.

In addition to her extensive ministry work, Jeanette was a dedicated professional who worked full-time and retired from Blue Diamond Almond Growers after 30 years of service in 2000. Her professional and spiritual life exemplified her hardworking nature and her desire to serve others in every capacity possible.

After retiring, Jeanette and Verdon moved to Fairview, Missouri, to enjoy their golden years together. Jeanette's life was a testament to her faith, love, and commitment to her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four of her siblings, her beloved husband Verdon, and her youngest daughter, Lana Jean Henry. Jeanette's legacy continues through her surviving children: Lonette Gordon and her husband Craig; Steve Henry and his wife Cheryl; Loretta Delp and her husband Roger; her grandchildren: Heather, Alisha, Johnathan, Dale, Lisa, Adam, Daniel, and Lisa; along with 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Jeanette Rosien Henry's life was a beacon of faith, love, and service, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Community Chapel in Neosho.
